BAND BIOs

Shannon  (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar): Shannon's been fronting cover bands since his late teens in Indiana, before transitioning to singer-songwriter mode during his college years at Indiana University. Afterwards, he headed west to Southern California, and in 2000 joined an alternative and hard rock cover band for a few years before taking a 15-year break to be a family man (though not entirely, singing for his company's traveling corporate event band across the USA). In late 2017, he helped form Frequent Delinquents, an 80s/90s alternative and grunge cover band, and played until he relocated to Austin in 2023 where he found his home as Southern Shade's frontman.

Bill  (Lead Guitar): Meet the maestro of 80s and 90s grooves, tearing it up with Southern Shade. From coast to coast – Connecticut to California, Colorado, and now Austin – he's left a trail of melted faces and broken strings. Formerly jammed with The Earthlings, rocked with DeadboltATX, and found his musical therapy with Group Therapy. Currently on a mission to resurrect the raddest tunes of the 80s and 90s!

Greg  (Percussion, Backing Vocals): Greg's percussion skills come with a side of metal mayhem. He's the secret ingredient in Southern Shade's musical recipe, having drummed his way through Boogiestick, Majesty, DeadboltATX, and Numb. His beats hit harder than Monday morning alarms.

Manny  (Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals): Most of Manny's background is a mystery. Rumor has it that he came out of the womb with a bass guitar in hand. Other rumors are that he came from the music Gods as a Rythmic Angel set out to bring people to the harmonious sound of Rock and Roll. All that is hearsay. What IS known is his unconditional love for music and his enthusiastic dedication to his craft.
